Little late this morning as I re-read what I wrote last night and it was boooorrrrring! The weekend was a lot more exciting in person than in print. Of course, it would have been a lot better had we had half-nekkid cabana boys serving our drinks Saturday night. Susie arrived at 5:00, the pizza shortly after and then the games began! We had a great night playing games from TV trivia to Uno (which I wouldn’t recommend learning to play when you have a buzz – all that reversing gets much more confusing). And yes, we had wine coolers, margaritas, fuzzy navels, etc. And NO Jennifer – no hangover! Sunday was really great though. Glenice and I started out at Borders (which had a great buy 4 romances, get another one for free sale going – guess what I did?) where I rearranged Jill’s books – so sue me. Then over to The Saltgrass Steakhouse for Glenice’s early birthday lunch. I had never been there before and I’m in love. The steak was soooo good! It was a little on the expensive side so it’s not an every week kind of place, but for special occasions from now on – yeah! The restaurant is only in
We ended the afternoon by taking a drive south to the town of Waxahachie (Wackyhacky to some of us) where they have beautiful old homes – in fact, they have an annual event called the Gingerbread Trail – and one of the most beautiful courthouses in Texas (probably the country). Wackyhacky is the county seat of

Waxahachie is also known as The Movie Capitol of Texas because it’s town square is almost totally intact – a step back in time. Many movies have been filmed there, including: Bonnie and Clyde, The Trip to
Anyway, that was pretty much our weekend (just hung around again on Monday) – I know, more interesting in person than in print – but it was great! Honest!
Oh, and contrary to what Bebo said – I suggested taking group pictures and got “the look” from both her and Glenice – I tried, not the other way around! I did get one of Susie, but I don’t know if she would want me to post it or not.
Sounds like you had a wicked time and the courthouse looks fab! Ta ta love! (I'm being very Brit today)
. The scenic views at the top of the page are beautiful. Is that were you live?
